How about a Bonfire fundraiser for the residents? 6 sweet souls ( Addy, Cleo, Abby, Cricket, Kiki, & Koko) were abandoned at the Sanctuary. Yes, a litter of 6 girls, yes, I think 3 sets of twins, and yes, they are all inside right now as the results of having them outside would be simply CAT-Astrophic!! . These sweethearts all need to be spayed and we also have a load of hay coming in this week for our equine friends.... along with the daily cost of food and grain, etc. Sooo...... this is our Spring Fling! There are tshirts and sweatshirts (for those of us who are still stuck in winter's icy clutches). Print on both sides. I think this may be my favorite design so far! I want to thank all of our recurring donors and supporters, you know who you are, and I hope you know how much we all appreciate you!
Please vote for us to share in a $55,000 at https://mygivingcircle.org/sunny-hill-Sunny Hill Sanctuary
At Sunny Hill Sanctuary we have some projects that I'd love to share with everyone!
First, we are trying to establish a real medical fund for the felines. We have a litter of 6 little ladies (abandoned on the property) that needs to be spayed, and another female kitten who is around 4-5 months of age that will also need to be spayed. We also have feral felines out here that I would like to try and catch/release for spay/neuter to have some badly needed population control.
Second, we are trying to get a historical designation for the property so that we can restore the original barn (circa 1910). Our first step would be to have the roof replaced. If we can get the designation it will open up potential funding for us, and allow us to expand our facilities. Without the designation, we still need/want to expand so we are trying to get funds for more structures.
Third, we are going to convert a small shed to a chicken coop this Spring/Summer. I know there are a lot of chickens out there that are looking for a home, and we would love to help some out.
Last but not least, we are going to be making room for some goats this Spring! I cannot wait to add them to our little animal community.
